Your PDF stays on your device. No document upload is required.
Preserve searchable text and vector content first, with stronger image-based modes when you need them.
If Smart mode cannot reduce the file, PDFSnacker keeps the original bytes instead of returning a larger copy.
Free browser-based PDF compressor
PDFSnacker offers two kinds of compression. Smart mode rewrites the PDF structure without flattening pages, so text remains selectable/searchable and vector graphics stay vector. It is the recommended choice for reports, invoices, CVs, contracts and other document PDFs.
When you need a much smaller file
Photo and Maximum modes are designed for scanned or image-heavy PDFs. They rasterize pages and recompress the resulting images, which can shrink files much more aggressively but can remove selectable/searchable text. PDFSnacker labels those modes clearly before you use them.
Why results vary
A PDF that is already efficiently compressed may not get smaller without changing its content. In Smart mode, PDFSnacker compares the result with the original and keeps the smaller version automatically.
